"Find meaning. Distinguish melancholy from sadness. Go out for a walk. It doesn’t have to be a romantic walk in the park, spring at its most spectacular moment, flowers and smells and outstanding poetical imagery smoothly transferring you into another world. It doesn’t have to be a walk during which you’ll have multiple life epiphanies and discover meanings no other brain ever managed to encounter. Do not be afraid of spending quality time by yourself. Find meaning or don’t find meaning but “steal” some time and give it freely and exclusively to your own self. Opt for privacy and solitude. That doesn’t make you antisocial or cause you to reject the rest of the world. But you need to breathe. And you need to be."-Albert Camus, Notebooks, 1951-1959 (via thatkindofwoman)
"For what it’s worth: it’s never too late or, in my case, too early to be whoever you want to be. There’s no time limit, stop whenever you want. You can change or stay the same, there are no rules to this thing. We can make the best or the worst of it. I hope you make the best of it. And I hope you see things that startle you. I hope you feel things you never felt before. I hope you meet people with a different point of view. I hope you live a life you’re proud of. If you find that you’re not, I hope you have the courage to start all over again."-F. Scott Fitzgerald

A letter from JP Morgan CEO To Gold Diggers
This might be the best thing I’ve seen in a while:
A reply from CEO of J.P. Morgan to a pretty girl seeking a rich husband
A young and pretty lady posted this on a popular forum:
Title: What should I do to marry a rich guy?
I’m going to be honest of what I’m going to say here.

"Sometimes when it’s raining, I think about you. I think about you all the way over there, with all that ocean and all those years between us. I think about if you’re doing well, what your bedroom looks like, if you enjoy your job. I think about the times when there wasn’t any ocean between us and my time was your time. I think about when I knew the answers about you, because they were my answers as much as they were yours. Sometimes, when it’s raining, I wonder if it’s raining where you are too."
Because you are to me a song
I must not sing you over-long.
Because you are to me a prayer
I cannot say you everywhere.
Because you are to me a rose -
You will not stay when summer goes.
I am reading an intensive article about the Rohingya conflict in Myanmar, and two of the biggest names related to Myanmar are in this office for the summer… Sean Turnell and George Soros. I feel so humbled.
aereopagitica-deactivated201307 asked: it was good to hear that ye are going to take up this issue and doing a research on it, wish ye all the best
Thanks so much! I really appreciate it. I’m so excited to start, but I don’t even know where to begin. What a complex issue.
I have just signed myself up to write a working paper on the Rohingya/Muslim conflict in Myanmar, in addition to my research on EITI and Corporate Social Responsibility in Myanmar. I am scared to hell that I am not going to get everything done in time, but I’ve always worked best under pressure, haven’t I?
